Is this film only for cars, or can I use it on other surfaces?
PPF10-75 is designed for automotive paint protection — hoods, bumpers, fenders, mirrors, and full-body wraps. It’s also suitable for motorcycles and other painted surfaces. It is not intended for use on electronic device screens.
How does thermal self-healing work in practice?
Minor surface scratches from brushes or road debris disappear when you pour hot water (around 60–80°C) over the area or apply warm air from a heat gun. The coating softens just enough to flow back into scratches, restoring a smooth surface in under 5 seconds.
Will this film turn yellow over time?
PPF10-75 passes 500-hour QUV accelerated aging tests with ΔE≤2 — meaning color change is barely perceptible. Under normal conditions, the film resists yellowing significantly better than standard TPU films without anti-UV formulation.
How long does the protection last?
Under proper installation and maintenance, PPF10-75 typically provides 5–7 years of effective paint protection. The film also resists hydrolysis, acid rain, and alkaline cleaners, which helps extend its service life.
Can it be removed without damaging the paint?
Yes. When removed correctly with heat, the PSA adhesive releases cleanly without pulling off factory paint or leaving heavy residue. Professional removal is recommended for best results.
Is professional installation required?
We strongly recommend professional installation. The film requires surface preparation, slip solution application, and controlled heat for stretching and conforming to complex curves. DIY installation may result in bubbles, misalignment, or reduced durability.
