Does the ‘treasure green’ tint affect screen colors?

The green tint is very subtle and mostly visible only when the screen is off or viewed from an angle. When the display is on, colors remain accurate and brightness is well maintained — it’s a visual indicator of active blue light filtration, not a color distortion.

Why is the transmittance ≥80% instead of ≥90% like clear films?

The blue light filtering layer absorbs specific wavelengths (430nm and 450nm) to protect your eyes, which naturally reduces overall transmittance compared to non-filtering films. The trade-off is targeted eye protection in exchange for slightly lower peak brightness — most users find the difference barely noticeable in daily use.

How does this differ from BU04-5?

BU09-2 has lower haze (≤2% vs ≤1.5%) for a clearer view and blocks specific blue light wavelengths (430nm≥30%, 450nm≥25%). BU04-5 focuses on ultra-high UV blocking (≥95% at 365nm) with a light blue tint. Choose BU09-2 for precise blue light targeting with a near-invisible tint; choose BU04-5 for maximum UV defense.

Can I install this dry or wet?

Yes. BU09-2 supports both methods. Dry install is a simple align-and-press. Wet install uses a spray solution for repositioning before final squeegeeing — choose whichever you’re more comfortable with.

How fast does the self-healing work?

The 15±3μm self-healing layer quickly repairs fingernail marks and light scratches, typically within seconds to minutes at room temperature depending on scratch depth.

Will it stay on curved screens?

Yes. The flexible TPU base and strong OCA adhesive bond securely to curved edges and anti-fingerprint glass without peeling or lifting over time.

Does it leave residue when removed?

No. The OCA passes 10-cycle adhesion testing and peels off cleanly at ≤5g/inch, leaving no sticky residue behind.
