What Is BU29 EPU Screen Protector Film Roll?

BU29 EPU Screen Protector Film Roll is a UV-cured clear EPU functional film featuring ≥91% light transmittance, <1% haze, 24-hour scratch recovery, ≥102° water contact angle, and ≥700g/inch adhesion. It is suitable for smartphones, tablets, smart watches, cameras, automotive displays, appliance control panels, POS terminals, self-service equipment, and other high-touch electronic surfaces.

It is designed for screen protector manufacturers, die-cutting factories, film converters, coating and laminating processors, cutting-machine consumable suppliers, and OEM brands. What is BU29 EPU Screen Protector Film Roll?

BU29 is a UV-cured clear EPU roll material with a 180μm application layer, designed for screen protector manufacturing, converting and die-cutting.

What is the BU29 material structure?

BU29 consists of a 50±3μm PET protective film, a functional layer with 20±2μm self-healing coating + 130±10μm EPU + 22–25μm acrylic adhesive, and a 50±3μm PET release film.

What are the optical properties of BU29?

BU29 provides ≥91% light transmittance et <1% haze, making it suitable for HD clear screen protector applications.

How fast does BU29 self-heal?

The current BU29 test record shows complete scratch recovery within 24 hours, although actual recovery may be faster depending on conditions.

And self-healing performance varies between EPU models because different materials, coating systems and structures can produce different recovery speeds.

Such as BU62, BU63 and BU65 can fully recover copper-brush scratches within 10 seconds.

How does BU29 perform in impact testing?

In the recorded drop-ball test, tempered glass remained intact after two drops from 1 meter. The glass broke after one drop from 1.2 meters.
