How wide is the privacy viewing angle?
The privacy substrate limits clear visibility to approximately 30° from center — the person directly in front sees a sharp, bright screen, while those beside you see a darkened, unreadable display. It’s ideal for public spaces, transit, and open-plan offices.
Does the privacy feature reduce screen brightness?
At ≥60% transmittance, the screen stays bright and readable from the front. You may increase brightness slightly compared to a clear film in some lighting, but content remains clear without washing out colors.
Is this thicker version better than PV2AF2-4?
PV2AF2-5 has a thicker privacy substrate (190±10μm vs 120±15μm), giving it stronger shatter-proof protection and a more rigid feel. PV2AF2-4 is slimmer and lighter. Choose PV2AF2-5 when privacy and impact protection matter equally; choose PV2AF2-4 for a thinner profile with the same 30° privacy angle.
Does the matte finish make the screen blurry?
No. The 15±3% haze with ultra-thin 3–5μm AG coating reduces harsh reflections, not text clarity. The screen remains sharp and readable while glare from sunlight and overhead lights is noticeably softened.
Will it lift on curved screens?
No. The flexible privacy substrate and strong OCA adhesive (≥700g/inch) bond tightly to curved edges without peeling or lifting over time.
